Pension provision is becoming increasingly important due to several macro trends. In Switzerland alone, over 200’000 senior citizens are already living below the poverty line.

Due to demographic trends, we expect 20% more senior citizens in 10 years’ time, whereas today we measure a birth rate of 1.39 children per woman (BFS, 2022). This means that the social systems will face major challenges in the medium term and the current situation is likely to worsen.
